Checking Outlines |
|
If you have ever stitched a design and the outline was off in places, you probably wondered what you did wrong. Maybe it was the design. If you look at the design in your embroidery software, you can see where the outline stitches are placed around the fill.
If you look closely at the two designs above, the one on the left has the outline placed at the exact edge of the fill area, while the outline on the right is a bit inside the fill area on the sides (where the stitches change direction) and a bit outside the fill area at the top and bottom (where the stitches run parallel). If you guessed that the second design will stitch better than the first, you are right!
