Holiday Glitz |
|
Transform an inexpensive garment into something festive. Embroider a single miniature holiday design on a turtleneck or sock cuff. Replace buttons on a sweater with self-covered buttons embroidered with mini designs (you can switch them back after the holidays). Arrange 2" designs around the neckline of a plain shirt. Embroider a large design on a shirt front, then a smaller design on or near the sleeve cuff. Mini lights made for use with garments are sure to bring a smile. Make a special evening bag with sparkly designs using metallic threads. Glue a freestanding design to a plain candle. Make ornaments for your Christmas. Embellish a design with hot fix crystals. Embroidery is not just for others -- embroider something for yourself this year! Next issue: quilting questions and answers |
