Choosing Between Fusible and Sticky |
|
Fusible adhesive is less costly to produce than sticky water-soluble adhesive thus costs less than the sticky stabilizer. However, some fabrics do not fuse well at all. So go by this
rule: synthetics generally don’t fuse well so for them use the Wet N Gone Tacky® and for the natural fibres that normally fuse a lot better, use the fusible. By following this rule, you will be saving not only on your improved results but also on the stabilizer itself. You will also want to use the Wet N Gone Tacky® on any project that requires using a regular water-soluble stabilizer with spray adhesive. For people with breathing issues, avoiding the sprays is a must. For people allergic to cleaning and scrubbing like me, not having to deal with spray adhesive is fantastic! For any stabilization issue, please always feel welcome to visit my Stabilizer Court. You never know when a project will decide all on its own to pucker on you late at night when you need the project for the next morning! Next issue: happy lighting |
