Creating a Logo |
|
Eventually, someone with a small
business will ask you to embroider some shirts for their employees. If
their logo is only lettering, you may want to add something extra to
give the shirts more impact. Before you select a design from your stash,
be sure to check the copyright information for that design. If the
copyright is not clear, you should contact the designer. Even if
the copyright allows unlimited use of a design, you will not be able to
sell the design file without a license from the designer. This means
that you can embroider the logo yourself as any times as the designer
allows, but if you sell or give the embroidery design file to someone
else for them to embroider, you will need a license to permit this use
(it is essentially reselling a copyrighted design).
Select a small design (or two) that illustrates the focus of the business. The logo below is for a convenience store that also sells hot dogs and hamburgers. Next issue: finding stuff to embroider from Mary Jane Allen of Perfect Little Stitches |
