Staying Cool |
|
Recently we had some record-breaking
temperatures, over 100 degrees and it's not even summer yet! Maybe in
Florida that would not be unusual, but I live in Virginia where the
weather is supposed to be more temperate.
We all know it is important to keep yourself and your pets cool, but think also about your computer and embroidery machine. They overheat quite easily and this can cause permanent damage. Keep your computer and embroidery machine away from direct sunlight, even on a day that is simply warm and beautiful. If your computer or embroidery machine feels warmer than usual, do what you would do for a human. Move it to a cooler location or bring in a fan to cool it down. Give it some time to rest (turn it off until it has cooled). Next issue: is that needle big enough? from Mary Jane Allen of Perfect Little Stitches |
