From the Readers |

In response to the topic about thread
scraps, a reader has warned that cats can be seriously hurt if thread
becomes wrapped around the tongue or if they try to swallow thread. If
you have a cat, dispose of thread scraps carefully.
In response to the topic about mega hoops, a readers tells us that the Viking Plus Hoop will accept a design larger than 4 x 4 and split it for you, telling you when to reposition the hoop. I response to the topic about favorite tools, a reader tells us her favorite tool is a hemostat (a clamp used in surgery). It holds thread ends better than tweezers and gets in more closely than you can with your fingertips. She found hers at a flea market. Next issue: freestanding lace motifs from Mary Jane Allen of Perfect Little Stitches |
