Comments on Thread Scraps

The recent issue on thread scraps brought these comments from readers.

Tina wrote: Today you commented on threads & what to do with them. I place mine in a loose ball & put them outside then watch as birds take them to helpwith nest building. Sometimes I see the nests themselves & they look very nice with some colour in them :)

Krisann wrote: Instead of clipping the thread near the spool, I actually clip as close to the project as I can without damaging it. Then I take the spool off the machine and unthread the machine from the top. It only takes an extra couple seconds, it keeps the lint from building up, and it saves a ton of thread. :-)
